SNOOKER superstar Mark Selby will be in Stourbridge on Saturday, January 27.

The reigning world snooker champion and world number one, will play to a sold-out exhibition match to members and their guests at Stourbridge Institute and Social Club.

The event will be held in the club's refurbished match room, officially opened by snooker legend Steve Davis four years ago.

Selby will play against a select number of players from the club's snooker teams and also club regulars. These will be referred by women professional snooker player Mara Catalano.

Members will have the opportunity to have a photograph with Mark during the evening.

Club secretary and keen snooker player Carl Southwick said, “Over the past year, we have raised the profile of the club by joining the English Professional and Billiards Association.

“During 2017, the club held the English Women's snooker event and it is anticipated we will be hosting a world ranking event involving British and overseas players, including emerging Asian women players."
