TIVIDALE boss Dave King says his players are looking forward to Saturday's mouth-watering clash with title rivals Wolverhampton Sporting.

Dale played their first game for nearly a month when beating Wellington 2-0 away last Saturday.

Second half goals from Liam Wilkinson and Darragh Bustin wrapped up the win to keep them firmly in the promotion picture.

Tivi ware due to go to Pelsall Villa in the Walsall Senior Cup on Tuesday night before turning their attention to this weekend's clash with Sporting (3pm kick-off).

King said: "It is a big game for both sides and a game I know everyone here is looking forward to.

"I don't think the outcome will decide the league simply because there are so many game still to be played.

"That said, a win would be a huge confidence booster to carry us into the final months of the season.

"They are rightly the favourites to go up this season. They are a fantastic team and we will have to be at our very best.

"However, as I've said before, we have it in our locker to beat anyone.

"The fact that we are going to be involved in such a big game at this stage of the season shows just how far we have come this season."

On the Wellington win, he added: "It was really good to finally be playing again. We were rusty for the first 20 minutes or so but soon got into the game.

"We took our chances in the second half and got the job done."

Tivi have strengthened their squad with the arrivals of TJ Munthali from Cradley Town and Lewis McPike on duel registration from Sporting Khalsa.

"We do have a few injury niggles at the moment so I thought now was the right time to freshen things up," added the boss.
