Hit-and-run victim Andrew Holdaway has died after eight days in hospital following a Bank Holiday crash.

Police have this afternoon confirmed that the 62-year-old father-of-two from Stourbridge has died.

Mr Holdaway's rare 1950s Dellow Mk1 was written off in a head-on collision with a blue Ford Mondeo on Norton Road, Stourbridge last Monday (May 7).

Officers are still hunting three men in the Mondeo who fled the scene of the crash in the direction of the Old White Horse pub.

Mr Holdaway freed himself from the wreckage of his vehicle before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

He remained in intensive care for several days but police confirmed today that he has died.
