A MUSIC fund to support independent artists has helped with the creation of more than 160 albums and generated some £13 million for the British music industry, it has been announced.

The Momentum Music Fund, set up by the PRS Foundation and Arts Council England in 2013 to develop new talent, has also supported more than 180 UK tours and over 1,000 live dates, according to a five-year independent evaluation.

The fund provides grants of between £5,000 and £15,000 to musicians based anywhere in the UK to support activities such as recording, touring and marketing.

JOHN Legend has confirmed the birth of his and Chrissy Teigen’s second child in a series of tweets criticising Donald Trump.

The president caused fury when referring to dangerous criminals trying to cross illegally into the United States as “animals”, later insisting the term was aimed at members of the brutal transnational gang MS-13.

On Wednesday, Teigen sent a tweet hinting that the couple’s son had been born, and now Legend has confirmed the news.

MTV has suspended production of Catfish amid allegations of sexual misconduct involving host Nev Schulman.

The allegations, which Schulman denies, first surfaced last week after a former Catfish contestant posted a video to YouTube in which she claimed she was harassed.

The woman appeared on Catfish, a show in which Schulman investigates people using fake online profiles, in 2015.

TOM Fletcher has made an incredible Royal Wedding speech spoof video featuring lookalikes of Meghan Markle, Prince William and the Queen.

The McFly star – whose own wedding speech went viral – dressed up in a military uniform as Prince Harry before serenading a Ms Markle impersonator.

He is also joined by lookalikes playing The Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Camilla.
