AS royal wedding preparations hit fever pitch, intu Merry Hill has announced it will be providing big screen public viewing of the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

On Saturday (May 19), the Brierley Hill shopping centre will live stream the official coverage of the wedding on the big screen, located outside Tag Heuer, from 10am with the celebrations running until 3pm, capturing all the joy of the day including the official wedding ceremony at 12pm.

Seating has been provided for around 100 visitors who will be able to enjoy complimentary wedding themed cupcakes, pose with a life size cut out of Prince Harry or take royal selfies wearing face masks of the happy couple.

Robert Pickersgill, marketing manager at intu Merry Hill, said: “About 27 million of us tuned into Will and Kate’s 2011 wedding, and this wedding is set to draw in even more – so we thought we’d provide a really fun place for shoppers to celebrate this time around.

“Whether wanting a look at Meghan’s dress, rumoured to be worth £100,000, before you go shopping, or see little Prince George and Princess Charlotte, as pageboy and bridesmaid, we think the screening is set to be a fun-filled day out for all ages.”

With a camera stationed inside the chapel, every detail will be open to the public’s viewing pleasure until guests make their way to the private lunchtime and evening receptions.
