YOUNG dancers from Stourbridge had chance to share the stage with a star from Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend.

Students from Fusion Dance Factory in Norton performed with Russian professional dancer Pasha Kovalev (of BBC show Strictly) and his partner Anya Garnis in their Magic of Hollywood show at Dudley Town Hall on Saturday May 19.

More than 33 dance students from the school took part in two routines combining freestyle, musical theatre and ballet moves.

Rebecca Nijhof-Clarke, who runs the dance school at Norton Community Centre, said: "We were selected by Pasha's manager to perform and were the only dance school in the area included in the evening's performance."

She added: "The show was fantastic, the girls danced better than I could have imagined and loved every minute of it.

"Pasha was lovely and great with the kids."
