DUDLEY council will be doing its best to keep the borough's youngsters entertained during half term.

Activities will be taking place at borough leisure centres, museums, halls and visitor centres throughout the week.

Himley Hall will be holding its annual Vintage Transport and Country Fair on Saturday June 2 and Sunday June 3 where the Star Wars Lego exhibition is sure to be one one of the highlights on offer.

Sycamore Adventure will be staging a Heroes and Villains themed activities during the week that includes a superhero scavenger hunt and fancy dress competitions.

On Thursday, May 31, the centre will only open for children who have a physical or learning disability and are in need of additional support.

Stourbridge's Crystal Leisure Centre offers an aqua extravaganza with a swimming pool complete with slides, waves, bubble seats and rapids.

They will also be holding their popular bondi-beat water disco's with live DJ's on Friday, June 1 from 3-30pm to 6pm.

Dudley Leisure Centre will also be getting in on the act with two full days of their junior active zone.

Events on offer are suitable for children aged from eight years old to 12 and includes multi skills, football, basketball, rounders, crafts and swimming.

The event costs £20 per day per child and a parental consent forms must be completed prior to participation.

Halesowen Leisure Centre are hoping to attract youngsters with their £7 for 7 days offer.

It contains unlimited access from 9am until 5pm and provides use of the swimming pools, fun aqua run and float sessions in addition to use of the squash courts and table tennis.

There's also glass making sessions available to both children and adults at the Red House Glass Cone.

In additions visitors from Dudley Zoo will be attending on Wednesday, May 30 for a animal day.

Dudley Museum will be hosting a knights and princess themed family fun day on Friday, June 1 where youngsters can follow a trail and take part in a range of crafts.

Fancy dress for the occasion will be welcome.
