AN architecture firm from Stourbridge has won a regional award for a striking new home in Oxfordshire.
Khoury Architects won Best Individual New Home at the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Awards.
They received the award for their 'Redesdale' design - a contemporary new build house in the Greenbelt overlooking Abingdon.
It is the latest in a string of awards for Khoury Architects, who are located on the Stourbridge ring road.
In 2016, the company won two RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Awards for exceptional design and delivery of Chattock Gardens – a partially subterranean multiple house development in Solihull’s town centre.
Closer to home, Khoury Architects also designed The Limes in the Stourbridge Old Quarter and are currently working on residential projects in Pensnett and Lye.
As a regional winner, Khoury Architects will automatically qualify for the prestigious Grand Finals to be held on November 9 in London, where they will compete with the category winners of the all of the Building Control regions in the UK.
Heidi Alden, Company Secretary of Khoury Architects, said: “We are delighted with our win at LABC Awards as it recognises our ability to combine technical excellence with beautiful design.”
