A PRESTWOOD woman is opening her garden to the public for a 12th year – as she looks to add more money to the thousands she has raised for good causes.

Joyce Williams will be throwing her garden gates open this Saturday and Sunday (July 14-15) as part of the National Gardens Scheme.

Mrs Williams estimates she has raised almost £17,000 for charities through the scheme down the years by opening her garden at Westacres, just off the A449.

The huge garden features lawns, acers, hostas, a woodland walk, a goldfish pool and more, with Joyce saying: “You go on a journey when you go through my garden!”

There are plenty of seating areas and the garden is wheelchair-friendly. Visitors are allowed to bring dogs, as long as they are on a leash. There is also a large car park for visitors.

Additionally, there will be tea, cakes and other refreshments on sale, plus a plant sale nursery, with proceeds going to skin charity DEBRA.

The garden is open from 11am-4pm both days. Admission is £4 adults, while children and dogs go free.
