BONDED Warehouse founder Simon Deeley's jazz band The Blue Haze Quartet are playing St George's Hall in Bewdley next Tuesday (July 17), starting from 7.30pm.

Deeley, who was based in Stourbridge for many years, founded the Warehouse and ran it for 16 years.

He moved to the Welsh Borders in 2014 (to the town of Presteigne) where he continues to compose and perform.

For this concert, he brings his new quartet over the border, to perform in Bewdley, a town that he often visited in earlier times, having been brought up in the Worcester village of Clent.

The quartet perform a mixture of styles from grooving fusion-jazz to Latin-jazz, with Samba and Bossa Nova numbers that will delight music enthusiasts.

Tickets for the concert cost £10, with a special student rate costing £6, and can be booked by calling 07890 303681.
