THOUSANDS of people celebrated Black Country Day in Dudley by wiggling and wining along with Britain’s Got Talent star Donchez Dacres.

The singer, who came third in the national finals of the talent show, performed in Stone Street on Saturday.

He was one of a number of acts and attractions in the town to mark Black Country Day.

There was also a coffin race, street entertainers, poets and wrestlers to entertain the crowds as well as craft stalls and much more.

Councillor Alan Taylor, Mayor of Dudley, said: “What a great way to celebrate Black Country Day! There was so much going on in the town and it was wonderful to see so many people in Dudley.

“The Black Country Festival is an important celebration here in Dudley borough, as the historic capital of the Black Country and the birthplace of the industrial revolution. We’re very proud of that.”
