RESIDENTS from across the Black Country to find out more about the operation of West Midlands Ambulance Service.

West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust will host their annual meeting in Brierley Hill on Monday, July 30, along with a careers event for anyone interested in finding out more about career paths available within the trust.

The meeting will take place at The Academy, in Dudley Road, with doors opening for the careers event at 5pm, before the main meeting commencing at 6.30pm.

The AGM provides an opportunity for members of the public to meet with the board of directors, representatives from council of governors and trust staff.

WMAS chairman, Sir Graham Meldrum, said: “This year has been one of maximum exposure for the service when, due to the excellent coverage provided through a number of high profile television programmes, the public have been made aware of the true level of care and compassion the service provides.

“It is an inevitable fact that, every single day, people will call 999 for help in their hour of need. These patients are receiving the highest standard of care and compassion from our staff as well as being provided with appropriate care in the right place and at the right time.

“I am very proud of all of our staff who provide such an excellent standard of service.”

Anyone wishing to attend the meeting should email radha.patel@wmas.nhs.uk by Friday, July 27, titling the email ‘Annual Meeting’.
