CELEBRATED cartoonist Geoff Tristram will bring some colour to Kinver Community Library on Wednesday (August 1) when he stages a special workshop.

Geoff will be giving a talk about his work and encouraging visitors to draw their own cartoon characters in the process.

Based in Wollaston, Geoff has enjoyed a highly successful career spanning 35 years as a professional artist, cartoonist and illustrator.

During that time, he worked for a number of household names including Penquin Books, Royal Doulton and Ravernsburger Jigsaw Puzzles.

He has also designed albums sleeves for Birmingham based band UB40 in addition to creating postage stamps for Charles and Diana's wedding.

Geoff has also appeared on the BBC's World Snooker Finals when producing caricatures of the players.

His visit to Kinver Library takes place between 2pm and 4pm with his workshop aimed at children of all ages, although adults are also welcome to join in what should prove a highly popular occasion.

Places cost £5 and booking is essential, either in person or by contacting 01384 872348.
