Margot demands tough action on crime

A TOP Tory demanded a crackdown on yobs after Wollaston residents revealed their concerns about drug dealing and arson.

Stourbridge Conservative parliamentary candidate, Margot James, says her door to door survey in the area proves stronger police action is needed to halt hooligans.

Margot says her findings were backed up at recent public meetings in Wollaston and Norton when cops heard numerous accounts of drug dealing, vandalism, graffiti, and arson and under age drinking.

Margot called for greater use of available powers including, criminal anti-social behaviour orders, controlled drinking zones and dispersal zones.

She said "The reason that the police are not able to come out at night on a Friday and Saturday, when most residents complain the worst crime takes place, is that they are so heavily deployed in Stourbridge Town Centre."
