FIRE crews were called out to help after receiving reports of a man stuck in a pit in Old Wharf Road, Stourbridge, this lunchtime (Friday February 8).
Firefighters from Brierley Hill, Halesowen and Oldbury were alerted at around 12.15pm to the premises of GB Systems.
The man had reportedly fallen three to four foot in a pit and had got stuck between steel coils.
His work colleagues, however, managed to rescue him with a ladder before crews and paramedics arrived at the scene.
He was treated at the scene and taken to Russells Hall Hospital suffering from a leg injury.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed about the incident.
