STAR striker Stuart How is staying at Causeway United next season.

How, scorer of 21 goals last season, has pledged his immediate future to the Amblecote based Midland Alliance outfit despite interest from other clubs.

And boss Carl Burley this week announced that the rest of last season's successful squad have also re-signed as United look for a title push in 2008-09.

Burley took Causeway to their highest ever position of sixth last season and said that has put him in a difficult position when it comes to strengthening the squad.

He said: "The boys did so well last season that anyone who comes in needs to add to what we have already got and everyone is after the top quality players.

"We have got a strong squad who I think can be even more successful next season and also great team spirit and the club is looking forward on and off the field.

"The fact Stuart is staying, despite offers from the likes of Willenhall who would pay him quite well, speaks volumes about how much people enjoy playing there.

"I am delighted to have kept the squad together although I am looking at a couple of additions in the next few weeks, if they come off, who will strengthen us further."

Goalkeeper Paul Evans is likely to go back to Hednesford Town next season, although Burley has left the door open for him to come back if it does not work out.

Former Tividale youth keeper Todd Henderson, who deputised for Evans at the end of last season, has signed again for the club.
