MERRY Hill shopping centre will be helping out charities this year as launches its “give a gift” Christmas present campaign.

A giant gift box has been placed in the shopping centre, next to the Concierge desk, on the upper mall.

Customers are invited to buy an extra present and donate it to the collection, which runs till Tuesday December 16.

The charities which will be helped are The Sunfield Centre, based in Tile Cross near Stourbridge, Haven, a charity, based in Wolverhampton that aims to provide support and refuge to women and children who are affected by domestic violence and the Russell Hall Hospital Children’s Ward in Dudley.

Sunfield Centre is a national charity that specialises in the care of children with learning difficulties.

Kelly Reed, marketing manager at Merry Hill, said: “We want to ensure that those less fortunate get a gift this Christmas and the present box allows shoppers the chance to give back.

“Whether you give a little or a lot, this is about giving everyone something to smile about this Christmas and raising awareness of the local causes.”
