Drive to save town continues

THE drive to help breathe life back into Stourbridge is set to continue this week with concerned teacher David Cox and town MP Lynda Waltho teaming up to stage another meeting for traders, residents and shoppers.

Taking place tomorrow (Friday March 27) at 7.30pm at Stourbridge Age Concern’s Elton Centre - the meeting will be a follow-on to the pair's first successful emergency summit held at St Thomas’s Church Hall in the town centre last month.

Labour MP Lynda said: “A vibrant discussion took place at our first public meeting which was attended by around 100 people - so a follow-up has now been arranged to continue the discussion on the regeneration of Stourbridge town centre.”

The agenda will include items carried over from the last meeting - which saw key issues such as transport, local history, town businesses and the environment debated.

Tea and coffee will be served from 7.15pm and the meeting will start at 7.30pm.

The Elton Centre is located behind St John's Church, off the ring road. Parking is limited.

Anyone unable to attend the meeting but wishing to make comments can contact David Cox at oneheartoneway@hotmail.co.uk or Lynda Waltho at lynda.waltho.org.uk@blueyonder.co.uk - and more information is also available on the MP’s website www.lyndawaltho.org.uk
