MP celebrates Warm Front Scheme success

STOURBRIDGE MP Lynda Waltho MP is celebrating the Warm Front Scheme’s efforts to tackle fuel poverty and she is urging more people to get help with measures that could slash their energy bills.

The Warm Front scheme helps people improve the energy efficiency of their homes - providing grants of up to £3,500 towards insulation and gas heating measures and £6,000 for oil heating to low income families, the elderly and people with disabilities.

Labour MP Lynda said: “Over £4.5 million pounds has been invested in Warm Front in Stourbridge to date. Many who have benefited from the scheme report average savings on their fuel bills of anything between £300 and £600 a year.

“With schemes like Warm Front and the winter fuel allowance, there’s lots of help for people to pay for the cost of domestic heating.”
