POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman out walking with her family in Clent was bitten by a dog.
The family were walking on the Clent Hills at around 4.30pm on Sunday November 8 when a Staffordshire bull terrier, which was not on its lead, approached them.
The bull terrier attacked the family’s dog and then bit the woman on her hand. The owners of the bull terrier then put their dog back on its lead and walked away.
The woman, in her 50s, needed medical attention for a cut on her hand.
Pc Joanne Finch, from Bromsgrove police, said: “We want to speak to the owners of the dog responsible for this attack and would appeal for them to make contact with the police at the earliest opportunity.
“We would also appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Equally if you feel you may know who the owners of the dog responsible for the attack are, then please pass this information on to us.”
The dog was a dark brown and white Staffordshire bull terrier - and the owners are thought to be a couple in their 30s.
Anyone with information can contact Pc Finch at Bromsgrove police on 0300 333 3000 (quoting incident number 372-S-171109).
