Lye festive fair to raise cash for community causes

1:01pm Thursday 26th November 2009

RESIDENTS in Lye and Wollescote are invited to a grand Christmas fair to help raise money for community organisations.

The event, being held on Friday December 4 from 4pm to 7pm at Christ Church in Lye High Street, is to help raise awareness of community groups, while raising money to support their activities.

PJ Flip and Dippy and the medieval surgeon will be entertaining the kids.

There will also be performances by Fantasy Dance Group, the Karen Yates School of Dance, the Dohl Drummers and other Black Country musicians.

Handmade craft items, jewellery and Christmas gifts will be available to buy.

There will also be beauty treatments on offer - and a ‘Lye’s Got Talent’ stall will be selling CDs produced by town artists.

Dudley Council’s community renewal and adult community learning teams have organised the event with other key partners to bring information together to make access easy for customers.
