AN overweight Clent woman was inspired by her father’s illness to slim down from a dress size 20 to a shapely 12 in just three months.
Sarah Field lost four stone and which gave her the incentive to set up in business helping other people shed the pounds.
Despite the economic downturn, the 45-year-old is going from strength to strength as a weight management counsellor in Stourbridge.
She lost her weight back in 2006 and has maintained her new shape - the hardest part according to Sarah - after changing her eating habits.
“I’d understood that one of my reasons for gaining weight was that I was a big entertainer and felt it was one of the only things I was any good at.
“I wanted to offer people the best food and drink when they came to my house and I indulged at the same time,” said Sarah, who was prompted to lose weight when her father was diagnosed with cancer.
Sarah, of Church Avenue, immediately shed some weight through on online plan, but when he died she started to pile the pounds back on.
Bigger than ever, Sarah joined weight loss programme Lighter Life and is now one of its counsellors.
“The buzz of seeing people change their lives and achieve their goals is amazing. It’s not just about weight loss - it’s about a new lease of life,” she said.
