HAGLEY musician Bev Pegg and his All Star Rock ‘n’ Roll Band will be taking to stage for a evening of 50s/60s pop nostalgia.

The gig, at Blakedown Parish Rooms, Belbroughton Road, Blakedown, on Saturday August 13, will be a chance for Bev’s fans to catch up with the popular musician whose last two gigs sold out well in advance.

Lead singer and guitarist Bev has been on the music scene for many years covering a wide range of styles.

He has appeared on radio, TV and alongside famous names as diverse as Clifford T. Ward, Jasper Carrott, Acker Bilk and Robert Plant.

Accompanying him on the 13th will be his seven-piece band featuring Ricky Cool on sax, vocals and harmonica, Ted Bunting and Dutch Lewis on saxes, Nick Blunn on keyboards, Harry Rowlands on bass guitar and Ken Wright on drums - all of whom have backed and played alongside countless top pop names.

A few well-known guests have also promised to make cameo appearances with the band at the gig which will raise funds for Stourbridge Age Concern.

The function starts at 8.30pm and doors open at 8pm. Tickets, priced £11 each, are available from Ken Cowdry on 01384 392590.
