HAGLEY youngster Harry Way also played his part in the Olympic torch relay when it stopped off in Worcester.
The seven-year-old was one of around 700 youngsters across the country born on December 20 2004 - the date the London bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games was confirmed.
As a result of his special birth date, the youngster was invited to join the celebrations on stage when the Olympic torch relay swept into Worcester County Cricket Ground - as part of the 2012 Games’ Children’s Promise initiative.
His mum Helen Way said: “We’ve known since he was a couple of weeks old that he would be invited to take part in some form of Olympic celebration. He was so excited; he had a fantastic time.”
