BOROUGH residents and businesses are being encouraged to take part in the Alternative Games to help raise funds for Beacon Centre for the Blind.
The fun event, which is set to take place on Sunday, September 9 at Tipton Sport Academy, from 12pm until 4pm, will include games such as spacehopper and wheelie bin races, shopping trolley dash, superhero race, welly wanging and pork pie throwing.
Teams of six people are required to take part in the games, with medals for the winners and a prize for the best superhero costume.
There will also be plenty of stalls and various games to help raise as much money as possible for the Sedgley-based charity, which provides support for the borough’s blind and partially sighted residents.
Participating teams need to pay £30 registration fee and raise a minimum of £100 sponsorship per group.
