CHURCHGOERS across the town have teamed up for the second year running to stage free family fun day - Love Stourbridge.

Following the success of last year’s first ever event - Love Stourbridge will be held in Mary Stevens Park, off Stanley Road, Norton, on Saturday July 28.

The event, running from 10.30am to 4.30pm, will include stalls, free beauty treatments, face-painting, craft activities, and a hog roast.

There will also be live music from artists including Ian Parker, Glambuster and Crush; and plus rides and inflatables for a nominal fee of 50p.

Event organiser Andy Donaldson said: “Having lived in Stourbridge all my life I love the idea of Christians actively blessing our community and investing in our town and its amazing people.”

The fun day follows a month of community events organized by Stourbridge churches.

Volunteers have been gardening and decorating to help those in need across the town and a kids’ club was launched at Hob Green Primary School, Pedmore, this week.

An afternoon tea for the over 60s will also run tomorrow (Friday July 27) from 3pm to 5pm at Chawn Hill Church.
