FUNDRAISERS from Amblecote are hailing their bid for charity cash as a success after scooping £613 at an auction event.
Staff at Sainsbury's Amblecote are this year backing Insight For Carers Service from Brierley Hill as their charity partner and got their work to support the organisation under way with the auction on July 14.
The event, at Insight House, Pearson Street, featured prizes from a host of businesses including Dove Spa, Body Shop and Lush stores at The Merry Hill Centre and Harry’s Restaurant in Lye.
Event organiser Deb Gramann, from Sainsbury’s Amblecote, said: “This was the first auction we have ever organised and everybody enjoyed it, while having a lot of fun and fundraising for such a worthy cause.
"We would like to thank all the local businesses and customers who donated goods and experiences as prizes not to mention countless colleagues who offered gardening, cleaning and hair cutting experiences.”
