Celebrations for award-winning Stourbridge card shop

AN independent Stourbridge card shop has been named the best in the country at a prestigious awards ceremony in London.
Celebrations of Stourbridge has been voted Best Independent Card Shop in the UK in the Newcomer Northern Region Awards held at London’s Dorchester Hotel.
Directors Roger Eames and Laura Didehvar attended the event to pick up the top award which comes hot on the heels of a similar accolade awarded in May for Best Independent Gift Shop to open in the last three years, in the Northern half of the UK.
Roger said “This is amazing, to receive two top awards within the space of a few weeks is such a great privilege.”
Laura added: ”We are thrilled for the whole staff team who have worked so hard since we opened a couple of years ago, it is great news for Stourbridge as well as Celebrations.”
It is belived to be the first time a shop has won both awards in the same year.
To mark the High Street shop’s success - artist Berni Parker has been commissioned to paint a canvas which will be unveiled at a ceremony in the autumn.
