IT was a day to treasure for the Mayor of Dudley when he met Quarry Bank thespians promoting their forthcoming Pirates of Penzance show.
Councillor Melvyn Mottram, the new Mayor, and his wife Michelle, the Mayoress, met costume-clad stars from Quarry Bank Operatic Society when they were invited along to officially open the summer fair at Quarry Bank Community Centre, Sheffield Street, on Saturday July 28.
Members of the operatic society were there promoting their forthcoming pirate show which will be staged at Netherton Arts Centre from Tuesday September 25 to Saturday September 29.
