AN exhibition featuring an array of striking and unique glass pieces linked to an Amblecote glassworks is running throughout the International Festival of Glass.

Gallery 90 in the Store celebrates 90 years of association between artists and Plowden & Thompson/Tudor Cystal.

The exhibition, at the Dial Glassworks, Stewkins, Audnam, features work by a host of famous names in the glass industry including Steve Piper, Allister Malcolm, Vic Bamforth and Richard Golding plus many rising stars.

It will run from Wednesday August 22, throughout the forthcoming Bank Holiday glass festival, through till September 23.

The site will also be open for tea, coffee and cakes throughout the weekend and will host displays by Hagley Bee Keepers and Amblecote Historical Society.

Crystalware featured in James Cameron’s 1997 Titanic movie and the recent Julian Fellowes TV drama about the ill-fated ocean liner will also be on display - and is available to buy from Tudor Crystal just yards from the old Stuart Crystal factory which made the ship’s original glassware.
