ARSONISTS have set fire to a derelict Dudley town pub.
Fire crews from Dudley, Tipton and Brierley Hill were called to the disused Gipsies Tent pub on the junction of Steppingstone Street, at around 4.27 yesterday (Friday).
The incident involved a severe fire in the ground floor front room of the two storey empty building, with 100 per cent of the room engulfed in flames.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets to quell the flames and ventilation fans to clear the smoke.
No persons were found following a thorough search of the building and the incident is being treated as arson.
Firefighters left the scene shortly before 6pm.
