THE car driver who died in a road smash at Cookley near Kidderminster yesterday (Tuesday) has been named as 21-year-old Natasha Kew from Wordsley.
She died after the Clio she was driving on the A449 Wolverhampton to Cookley Road lost control and overturned at around 5.45am.
The car was then in collision with a Peugeot van travelling in the opposite direction.
Natasha, from Wordsley High Street, was confirmed dead at the scene by paramedics.
A post mortem is due to be held on Friday (September 21) and an inquest will be opened by Worcestershire coroner Geraint Williams.
The driver of the van was not injured in the crash which saw the road closed until late afternoon.
West Mercia Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the smash and are appealing for witnesses to contact the Force Operational Support Team at Rubery Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 56-S-180912.
