BBC WM radio presenters are teaming up with 80s singer, Jaki Graham, to treat Merry Hill shoppers to a charity busking session tomorrow.
From 12.30pm until 1pm, breakfast host Pete Morgan, travel presenter Frankie McCamley and sports presenter Daz Hale will belt out popular tunes in the centre’s Fountain Square, along with Birmingham singer Jaki and her son, who will be on acoustic guitar.
All money raised from shopper donations will go towards the Red Alert Appeal in aid of Cure Leukaemia.
The fundraiser came about after the breakfast team asked listeners to think of the best way for them to raise the money, and when someone suggested busking they decided to take up the challenge.
Kelly Reed, Westfield Merry Hill marketing manager, said: “We look forward to hosting such an exciting event for such a worthy cause.
“We hope plenty of shoppers will come along to show their support – and maybe even sing along – in what will no doubt be a successful and enjoyable afternoon!”
