Stourbridge star set to shine in Whistle Down The Wind show

STOURBRIDGE performer Kim Lavender will be leading a seasoned Black Country cast in a new production of Whistle Down The Wind running next week.

West Bromwich Operatic Society is presenting the show at Dormston Mill Theatre, Sedgley, from Tuesday October 2 to Saturday October 6.

Based on the 1961 film classic starring screen legend Hayley Mills, the show was recreated for the stage by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Kim, from Wollaston, stars as Swallow (famously played by former child star Mills) and Black Country operatic scene star Lyndon Flavell will be playing The Man.

Evening performances start at 7.30pm and there will be a matinee show on the Saturday, starting at 2.30pm.

Tickets are available online from the WBOS website www.wbos.co.uk or by calling 07990 736728.
