Wordsley man may face jail over child porn images

A 31-YEAR-OLD Wordsley man has admitted downloading more than 3,300 indecent photographs and films of children.

Darin Wallett, of Ryder Street, was remanded on conditional bail until October 27 for the preparation of a pre- sentence report.

But Judge Robin Onions warned him it was the sort of case that resulted in a short custodial sentence or a long Community Order.

Wallett, a man of previous good character, pleaded guilty to making 2,893 indecent images of children at level one - the least serious category - and eight moving images at the same level.

He further admitted making 75 indecent images at level two, 335 at level three together with 86 images at level four.

Philip Brunt, defending, told Wolverhampton Crown Court that Wallett had already been "cut off" by a number of his friends after his arrest by police.
