STAFF at a Halesowen roofing firm are on cloud nine after helping to raise £35,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in honour of a workmate.
National company Chandlers Roofing Supplies launched the Chandlers £50K Challenge in early 2013 as employee Rob Sadler celebrated 30 years with the company.
He also celebrated his 50th birthday in the December although cystic fibrosis sufferers are not expected to live beyond their 30s.
Branch manager Dave Horton said: “We are absolutely delighted to have raised such a great amount of money for a fantastic charity.
“The support from our staff and customers has been fantastic and everyone is delighted to have been able to help Rob achieve such a great sum of money.”
