STAFF at Haden Hill House Museum, Off Barrs Road, are preparing for a bumper festive season at the historic house.
Alison Hyatt, visitor services officer, said: "We've been putting up all the Christmas decorations in the house this week and creating Santa's grotto in our exhibition room ready for the man in red's visit to us throughout December.
"The house looks beautiful decorated for Christmas with traditional decorations and we are ready just in time for our Christmas events to start."
The first festive event on Saturday at 2pm with A Christmas Carol and other stories.
Mrs Hyatt added: "We are inviting people to join us for a Victorian style afternoon in the beautifully decorated drawing room where they will be able to enjoy a selection of traditional Christmas songs and festive readings to start the season with a warm glow."
