SCHOOLCHILDREN, Scouts and the Royal British Legion have been helping tackle hunger with food collections at Cradley Heath’s Tesco store.
Seasonally decorated trolleys have been parked at the end of the checkouts for generous shoppers to donate to the supermarket’s FoodShare partner, which distributes surplus food to charities.
Veterans, Scouts and youngsters from Corngreaves and Timbertree primary schools have been manning the trolleys and handing out leaflets asking for donations.
Tesco supports FairShare as part of its commitment to taking a lead to tackle food waste globally.
