PEOPLE are being urged to make a bee-line for a Sedgley animal sanctuary to help save insects from extinction.
John Madgwick, president of the Birmingham and District Bee Keepers Association, is set to host six week courses in bee keeping at the Brockswood Animal Sanctuary in Catholic Lane.
Bees are under threat from pesticides and experts say if they disappear from the landscape around 80 per cent of flowers would not be pollinated and die out.
Courses start on Thursday January 7 and Thursday February 18 and cost £55.
