A DUDLEY opticians has been collecting Easter eggs to donate to the children’s ward at Russells Hall Hospital.
Specsavers in Castle Street will accept chocolate donations until tomorrow (Friday April 3) and will give customers a free eye examination in return, to thank them for their generosity.
Paul Cross, store director, said: "It’s never easy being in hospital, but it must be particularly hard for children to be away from home and their families over the holidays.
"Hopefully, our small gesture will be a lovely surprise that will help brighten their time in hospital."
Later in the month, the team will be fundraising for the hospital once more, but this time for the Georgia Ward, as store directors have vowed to donate £1 for every eye exam carried out between April 12 and 18.
