A QUINTON teenager made it his business to explore the economics of New York during a recent college trip.

Vikram Singh Maan, had a behind-the-scenes look at some of the largest financial institutions and businesses the Big Apple has to offer through an international, business experience organised byhis college.

The 17-year-old lower sixth former studying economics, chemistry, physics and business studies at Birmingham’s independent Abbey College, said the trip was a great opportunity to help develop his business acumen and hone his financial understanding.

Twenty students and three teachers accompanied him on the trip, attending a business and marketing workshop Madame Tussauds, where they learned the art of creating a successful business.

They had a guided walking tour of the world-famous financial district and visited the Sony Wonder Technology Lab, Madison Avenue.

Vickram, of Ridgeacre Road, and his college mates also visited the city’s main tourist attractions and paid their respects to the victims of terrorism at Ground Zero.
