KIND-hearted friends baked scores of cup cakes to sell at their Halesowen school to raise money to help the victims of the Nepal earthquake.
Ten-year-old Francesca Banno was eager to help after hearing about a Rotary Club-led programme to supply water survival boxes to the homeless.
Grace Wyatt and Milena Faligowska, also aged 10, joined in and the girls smashed their £150 target to buy one of the boxes with three cake sales at Lapal Primary School, raising £201.
Francesca said: “I was told about the boxes and I wanted to do something to help.
“I really enjoyed making the cakes and selling them at break time – they were a big hit.”
