FORMER pupils of Homer Hill Secondary Modern in the 1950s are being invited to a reunion in Cradley where they can rock around the clock like they did as children.

Those youngsters who attended the school, which became Cradley High School and demolished to make way for an old people's village two years ago, who are now aged 68 to 75-years-old can roll back the years at the party at Wilson Hall on Thursday, September 8 at 7.30pm.

John Garratt, who is helping organise the reunion, said: "If you are aged 68 to 75 and attended Homer Hill Secondary Modern School then please come along for a great night."

Mr Garratt hopes an old photograph will help track pupils down.

He said: "If anyone recognises themselves or loved ones on this photo from 1954, when we were all leaving Colley Lane Junior School to go to Homer Hill Secondary Modern, then get in touch or come to the party.

"We will certainly have some rock and roll playing from the time we were at school and it was new and all the rage."

He added: "Entrance is free, and it would be much appreciated if guests could bring along a small plate of sandwiches, crisps and nibbles."
