A DOUBLE decker bus was evacuated in Brierley Hill this morning after a tyre burst.
Firefighters arrived at the scene in Brettell Lane at 11.07am after receiving a 999 call.
A passenger had told the driver that the vehicle was on fire, so crews were called but found no trace of fire on arrival.
A West Midlands Fire Service spokesman said that one of 246’s rear tyres had blown and passengers were evacuated as a precaution.
The incident was left in the hands of Travel West Midlands and a temporary diversion was in place for 10 minutes.
