SPINNING classes are starting at Crystal Leisure Centre next week for those looking to get in trim ahead of the summer holidays.
Two weekly spinning sessions – a specific form of indoor cycling – will take place at the Dudley Council-owned centre in Stourbridge from Tuesday (May 2).
Using stationary bikes, the classes are a high-intensity cardio workout usually set to music and led by a qualified instructor, with one running from 11.10am until 11.55am, while the other is on from 5.30pm to 6.15pm, costing £6.
Members of the Options Lifestyle membership – where people pay a monthly or annual fee to enjoy unlimited use of leisure centre facilities – can take part in these classes and are able to book a place up to seven days in advance, while it’s four days for non-members.
Andy Webb, interim head of sport and leisure, said: “Spinning classes on stationary bikes are a fantastic way to burn calories, tone those all-important muscle groups and relieve stress.
“It is great news that we are starting two new classes at Crystal, and we would urge those looking to get fit for the summer to book up and try it out for themselves.”
