A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a crash in Dudley.

A lorry and two cars were involved in the smash on Birmingham Road, near the Tesco Extra store, at 9.18am this morning (Friday).

The female driver of one of the cars, believed to be in her 20s, and a child travelling with her, were assessed by paramedics at the scene.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “The woman had managed to get out of the car by the time we arrived and was sitting on the kerb.

“She had back pain, pain in the back of her head and also in her leg and arm. She was given pain relief and taken to Russells Hall Hospital.

“There were no other patients.”

Delays can be expected in the area as the crash has blocked the road heading from Castlegate Island towards Burnt Tree.
