SHOPPERS can expect to see armed police at intu Merry Hill today.
The presence of armed officers is intended to reassure centre staff and members of the public in light of the national security state being raised to critical last night.
A spokesman for intu Merry Hill said: "It’s important to note that this does not relate to any specific threat to intu Merry Hill, but please speak to us if you have any concerns."
You will notice armed police in and around the centre today. This is to provide a reassuring presence to the public and our staff (1/2)
