AN elderly Dudley woman has been left shaken after she was confronted by a burglar during an early morning break-in.

The 93-year-old woman was woken up at 2.30am by the man who had got into her Parkes Hall Road home through a window on Monday (August 14).

He pushed her back down into the bed and demanded to know where she kept her money before escaping with cash and jewellery.

Temporary Detective Inspector Ade George from Force CID, said: “This was a terrifying experience for a very vulnerable and elderly lady.

"Fortunately she wasn’t physically injured, but she remains very shaken by what happened."

Enquiries are on-going to trace the man, who wore a dark hoodie and is described as white and thin with dark stubble.

Officers have also stepped up reassurance patrols in the area.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
