CHOIRS and theatre groups are being offered the chance to shine - by performing at Christmas lights switch-ons across the borough.
Dudley Council is giving groups the opportunity to take centre stage and showcase themselves at the events in Dudley, Stourbridge, Brierley Hill and Halesowen in November and December.
All four events are attended by hundreds of people – and those chosen to perform will be able to promote shows they are doing and hand out leaflets.
The Halesowen switch-on takes place on Saturday November 18; Stourbridge’s festive lights switch-on will be on will be on Saturday November 25, and the switch-on in Dudley will be on Saturday December 2, while Brierley Hill looks likely to be lit up on Saturday December 9 - subject to confirmation.
There will also be Christmas markets and funfair rides at the events.
Groups wishing to take part can contact Anthea Jones on 01384 818216 or email anthea.jones@dudley.gov.uk.
