POLICE have released new pictures of missing Stourbridge man Matthew Gill in the hope it will help to locate him.

Matthew, aged 43, was last seen at around 9am on Friday October 6 and, despite receiving several calls from members of the public, police say there have been no confirmed sightings since that day.

He is believed to have left in his silver coloured Smart Roadster car which has since been recovered from the car park of Petzone at Prestwood, near Stourton, and he is believed to have been wearing a blue Superdry T-shirt.

DC Gail Cartridge, from the force’s Locate team, said: “We are very concerned about Matthew, there has still been no contact with his family and friends and this is completely out of character for him.

“We ask Matthew to get in contact with the team to just let us know he is safe and well.”

Search and rescue teams have been scouring wooded areas close to where Matthew’s car were found – while worried friends, relatives and members of the public have been doing all they can to help by walking remote areas and pinning up posters across the region.

Matthew, known as Liggy, is described as white, five feet 10 inches tall, of medium build and with short cropped hair.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen Matthew’s distinctive car from 9amn onwards on Friday October 6 to Monday October 9 or anyone who may have any information regarding his whereabouts.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation is urged to contact the Locate team on 01902 649 150 or the charity Missing People on 116 000.
